I've always heard that getting the fish to eat the internal parasite medication is the best way for treatment..

Problem is my tiny Retics only eat black worms, ATM.. I may attempt to soak the black worms in some meds, Prazi or Metro, but I hear the worms die very fast and the fish will sometimes be turned off..

Would giving the entire tank a quarantine bath be nearly as effective?

Should I just try to grow them out enough to wean to red wigglers and inject the worms?

Just curious of opinions!

Thanks..

do you think they have parasites? Are they thin? If there is no real problem. THen just treat the tank.

Yup treat the whole tank. It is very effective that way, If you have parasites they should be expelled within a day or two.

AJ :)

I have them eating pellets in with their blackworms now..

They took Anti-Parasite pellets (Metro, Prazi, Levamisole) as well as HBH SuperSoft krill pellets..

I'm excited. :D

Still going to do the Prazi bath though.. I see some very healthy poops during my daily syphoning, but their are some poops that have long white stringy attachments.. :(

I thought treatment was tough on rays? I would not treat unless you really think there is a problem. ie.. not putting on weight. or no appetite. After seing your picts they look pretty good.

It really depends on what you are trying to treat. Prazi in bath form is usually used to treat for gill flukes. Oral meds such as panacure or prazi is used for internal parasites like nemotodes.

I have used prazi pro and cured my problems my treating the tank I think 3 times through out though I soaked the food
