ok, so ive been told that salt works, but i was curious what the best to clean an old tank beore i set it up? i was just gonna use it for feeders but i wanna make sure its sanatary before i set it up, i dont necessarly know the history of the tank, like amonia problems or if it was a reptile tank or somthin. so , any opinions?

a little vinegar should do the trick. If you want to be completely safe, use a 10 to 1 water to bleach mix and this should take care of any bacteria that you don't want in your tank. Just make sure to rinse well and use some dechlor in the tank.
