Precautions to prevent new FH falling sick.

Hey guys,

I just got another new FH and really love it. But I know they fall sick easily. Is there any specific precautions one can take to ensure nothing happens? Anything to be added on a regular basis to the water? Epsom salt?

Any steps you follow regularly? I just don't want him falling sick like my older FHs.
All suggestions welcome!!

Good water quality. Stress free environment. Disease free tank mates I alway add some salt to the water after every water change.

Varied diet. Avoid live feeder fishes and even frozen worms to avoid internal parasites. Freeze dried products are okay but should be soaked prior to feeding.

Prevention is key...as mentioned above, good water quality is a must.

I add probiotics (rid-x) to the water and feed NLS thera-A (which has extra garlic to boost the immune system and protect against parasites)

Wow, guess I need to re think my FHs pellets choice.
