Howdy folks,

I don't no if this is the right post to place this, but I'll post it here anyways. Just looking for some info on a couple of fish and maybe a few suggestions.

Basically I've got a 30g tank ready to set up and am looking for a small pred. to keep in it. I'd like to keep Erythrinus erythrinus (Rainbow/Hi-fin Wolf fish) or preferably 2-3 Thalassophryne amazonica (Prehistoric Monster fish)

I've searched the internet (and this forum) and haven't managed to come up with much info. (Does this site have a fish species index kind of thing or somewhere where people who've kept these have posted?) I'm after some personal experiences of keeping them.

I'd like to no (for the Thalassophryne amazonica) how you would feed them 'dead stuff' as I've read they only take live food. I'll probably keep a group of Swordtails in there with them (mainly for the PMF to eat if the opportunity arises, but also to make the tank more interesting.) as hopefully they'll keep there numbers up as they disappear! Would they stop feeding when full or will they keep eating.

(I got loads more qs. but I forgot 'em as I'vr typed this :wall:)

Thanks anyways. :mr-t:

you could do a gulper catfish also or a congo puffer

For brackish, maybe one GSP...

For freshwater, African Leaf fish are interesting...

If you go with the Thalassophryne amazonica Be aware that they are venomous, so handle them with care.

Thanks for the replies.

I've decided to definately go for some Thalassophryne amazonica. (Probably much cheaper than a Wolffish and Gulper catfish, though I don't like the look of a Gulper Catfish anyway!)

Do you know of any1 whos kept/keeps PMF?

What section could I post in to get more answers? (Bottom Dwellers?)

Thanks again.
