Hi, I have an empty tank with some plants. It's around 25 gallons, so I was thinking it would be nice to have a predator in it. I want one that stays relatively small(5-7"). I was thinking about a wimple piranha.

Do you know how many gallons the tank actually is? IMO 25g is the bare minimum for that fish. I wouldn't put one in a 25g. It could be done, but IMO it would be better in like a 40-45g. In a 25g you will need some serious filtration for him as well.

A small group of black banned sunfish would be my suggestion if you want tiny, awesome, hard core little hunters.

Ya it is 27 on tank calculator and it has 100 gph filter.

more filtration needed

A pair of convicts. they are pretty close to being a predator. If you had a 40 gallon tank i would recommend a Asian upside down catfish. but an AUC would be miserable in a 27 gallon tank.

Ever consider south american leaf fish? Or a school of exodons?
