Predators and Predatory Haps

I've been trying to look for an answer to this question for a while now and nothing has come up so I look here for an answer.

Has anyone tried or know if you can/can't mix larger predatory Haps and the usual monster fish tank mates?
I'm thinking of types of Nimbochromis, VC-10 and other larger Haps (just 1 or 2) and Ray's, Arowana, Niger/Ripsaw Catfish, Peacock Bass, Datnoid and some Bichirs

The problem I would see with that is something like a peacock bass would out grow something like a venustus so fast.

But being a foot long would the Hap become prey?

Every fish in a predator tank is potentially food. So it's possible.
