Predatory 30 gal stocking suggestions.

well i have an empty 30 gal in my garage for awhile now and been wanting to set it up again... right now i only have a 10 gal in my room with a betta and some tetras. but as for the 30 gal, i want to stock it with some predatory/aggro fish. i was thinking of stocking it with some small upper jaw species of bichirs with a few top dwelling fish... maybe an african biotope with a driftwood center piece. i;m up for any suggestions, so let me know of some ideas.

ive kept exodons before, looking for something more exotic or robust so to speak... thats why i first thought of upper jaw bichirs

Red Wolf Fish.. depending on how active yours is you could keep one in a 30g for quite some time.

ive kept dwarf pikes before... pretty much one killed the other one haha.

and @ben - a puffer would be a good idea, maybe one with some bichirs would be cool.

@mudfrog - wolf fish are illegal in my state.

puffers will not work with bichirs you will end up with dead bichirs
