Predatory characins with cichla?

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried keeping hydrolycus sromberoides(payara) or hoplias malabaricus(wolf fish) with their cichla. The payara is 4" and the wolf fish is 4-5" and I was wondering how they would fare with some 4-5" cichla.
If anyone has experience with these fish please help me out.

I've thought about trying this myself but I dont think that my payara would get enough to eat,my p's are lightning flash fast when food is dropped in.

ive seen the mix but i dont know how it would go down

Ive kept cichla with hydrocynus before though and went down quite well.

What about a payara with gars and bichers? Anyone thing that would work... size appropriate of course

scombs will be eaten as they grow too slow.
mala and cichla should be fine.
always worked for ME.
ive tried tats with cichla and it was fine as well.
just that cichla easily outgrow them...hydrocynus as well...
dorado were fine.
