Hello everyone, I’m new to the hobby and I am wondering what pH Level and temperature the fish I’m interested in should be in. My fish tank is 72x24x29 (210) with two overflows and a WD system. Ehiem 5000+ return pump.

-Silver Arowana/Black Arowana
-Gar
-Blood parrot
-Green Terror
-Oscar
-Bichir
-Clown Loaches
-Red Severum
-Flowerhorn
-Knifefish

I will not be putting all these fishes in my fish tank, I would just like to know how to properly care for them if I decided to get a specific fish.

I’m 1000% get an Arowana and Gar fish, most likely a baby aro but I’m not sure what kind. Should I put him in the tank first or last? All the fish I get are going to be baby fisher.

Just an FYI, while i dont have any experience with the fish listed, i know a fully grown aro will need a tank wider than 24" so if you go with one you'll need plans for another upgrade or what to do with it when it outgrows your tank...

Same with the gar depending on species you choose...

As Fat Homer Fat Homer explained, some of those fish are not suitable long term for the tank you've described. The Aro isn't, and depending on which gar or knife fish, they won't be either.

Maybe you could remove those from your list (or explain which species you mean), and then list the remaining ones you most want in some sort of order, and let people provide some input on compatibility and stocking bio loads.

I will b get a 5” baby aro and upgrade in 3-4 years to a custome build. I’m thinking 8 ft long and 4 ft wide. I just wanted to know what pH levels those fishes need and temperature.

Ph and temp can easily be found if you research the specific type of arowana and gar you’d want.
You seem very ambitious for being new to the hobby. I’m sure you want to start out right. Lots of reading on the fish you’d like will help you narrow your list and from there asking for personal experience with that fish can give you an even better idea of what will best suit you, your water type, and tank.

I wish I could have started off with a bigger tank XD

You've got the right idea with the 8'x4'. They will outgrow the 210, it's good that you want to give them a bigger home.
They grow very fast, silver arowana can grow up to 3" per month pretty easily until a large size. So 3-4 years might be a little long. I might recommend you get some other fish which stay smaller for a year or so, then get the silver, so he is only in the tank for a year or two.
As far as pH and temp, all the fish you listed have been in the hobby for a while and are probably captive bred, so will be adaptable to your pH. As long as you don't have crazy extreme high or low pH, I would worry about keeping it stable more than a correct number. Temperature around 78 average will be okay as well.

What he said. That is a pretty extensive list. In would recommend taking the time the study a little about each ine. Trying to answer all that would be a big task!!

Have fun with the aro. Make sure your lids are weighted down... prefer acrylic to glass lids but you have time to worry about that when he starts to get bigger. Incredible fish!!
