I am going to be getting a 210-265 gallon tank in the near future and wanted to put 1 austrialian arowana 1 black arowana 2 gars not sure wich ones yet 2-3 peakock bass 1 flying river turtle 1 shovel nose cat and some type of snake head looking fish.

Is there a specific order i should put them in the tank? I know they should all be roughly the same size but will they all grow at the same rate. Am i better of buying them all at around 4-6 inches or should i get them 60-80% of there full grown size? And how do you feed gars non living fish?

Thanks for the welcome and No 265 gallons is the biggest I plan on going That should be enough for all fish mentioned once full grown right?

What are the dimensions of the tank going to be? A 300 Gallon would be an ideal minimum to hold all those monsters (96L x 30W x 24H) with anything bigger being better. I would drop the Jar and TSN though. Jars are super aggressive and have the ability to nip/harass everything to death. TSNs will get way too big, if you are looking for a nice catfish that plays nicely with others get a Tigrinus, they max out around 2 feet and look awesome.

The dimensions would be 84 x 24 x 31 I thought austrailan arowanas for the most part only bother other arrowans?
I figure with the tank being 31 tall the arowanas will keep to themself.

/\ and Chizzle what kind of filtration system do you run on your 240 gallon? Im thinking of getting a reef ready set up

Im no expert on what your keeping but the 24" front to back might be a bit tight for some of your fish no?
