Pregnant Bichir

What’s up MFK, I was wondering how can you tell if a bichir is pregnant. I have a ornate bichir. Maybe about 8-9 inches. Stomach a little fat for about two three days now. So just needed some insight

Could possibly be bloat. Bichirs lay eggs, not get pregnant?

True that, i was saying pregnant, just in the form of eggs or a love bearer.. that’s all.. but I just don’t know what I’m looking at when it comes to bichirs. What would you recommend for the bloat if that is what it is.

If there is a lump in the stomach area the Ornate is bloated. Also in my experience with the Ornate they seem to bloat easily.

Doesn’t look like bloat? Could be just ate something large and taking a long time to digest
