Just a quick one - is my female Guppy pregnant, and if so, when will she give birth?

The image is attached below.

Thanks,

without looking at the pic, yes! haha.. guppys are born pregnant!

..no guppies are not born pregnant...they need a male for that..but if you have a male with them then yes she is pregnant and expect babies with in 28 days

Looking at the pic she looks kinda pregnant. Don't worry you will see babies soon if you have several guppies. I bought some "feeder" guppies and threw them in a 10 gallon planted tank. Some of them got eaten by a newt in there, but there was 3 left and today I look and see about 4 babies. And I only had them for about 4-5 days. I guess one of the guppies came in pregnant :). Lucky me

Try uploading the pics instead of making people Download them, but yeah if you have a male and female guppy there is no force on heaven or earth that can stop their reproduction.

super prego, and i giver her about 10 days or so, ull be able to tell once the back of her stomach looks more boxy

Pregnant guppies show the dark gravid spot at the back of the abdomen. When they aren't (if that ever happens) it is a orange-ish pink color. She looks about half way there to me, but it depends on if it is her first batch or not. The first couple can take a little longer than later ones. Be patient and if you want the babies, get a breeder net or they WILL be fish food.

livebearers can get impregnated at the size of half inch. once they bbeen hit with a male, there pregnet for up to 4 to 5 months without a male presented. so if you got the female guppy from a MIXED male/female tank then theres no dought she is pregnet. and you sheould provide plenty of hiding spots for the babys as most parents are canibals and will eat there kids if givin the chance. get some moss balls/ or floating plants ( like java fern, those are excellent hiding spots for frys )
livebearers and convicts. are my specialtys.
