Ok so I have a female Molly who has alway been a "fat" fish well I noticed her getting bigger about 2 days ago so I put her in the special tank. Well I woke up yesterday and had 1 tiny little fry and so I left her alone and this morning (24 hours) later I checked her and she still only had 1 fry. Is this normal. She is still HUGE and won't eat. I finally let her out of the special tank and made her a place to hide. Now she is swimming around but still won't eat. I'm just wondering if she is done being in labor and it's normal for her to have only 1 baby? I'm super excited that I have a baby now I have been trying for a year to get baby fish! I want to breed Discus fish but I wanted to start learning with livebearers and something cheap first!! Any help would be great!

Its been said that livebearers have a hormone that makes them not eat 24 hours after they give birth so its sounds normal, ive never bred mollys but with my endler guppies a female can drop fry over a corse of a week but ive also had them drop all in one night soooo she could drop the rest over the week.

You probably stressed her out by moving her and she just released 1 baby. There will probably be more to come.

+1
Usually if you had stressed her any more she would have dropped a lot more with quite a few non fully developed one's.
Expect a lot more shortly.
