Pup does look a bit premature.

how big is it? looks fully developed..may be small in size but developed..if its eating, keep it alone and give it time to gain some size. corngrats on the birth!

they are sometimes pale at birth.keep it alone and try feeding black worms. i bet it grows to a happy marble!

3-4" seems kinda small. Might be a little premature, but not by much.
