what is the best koi/pond goldfish food? preferably pellets for a staple diet. I just upgraded my 200 gallon prebuilt pond to a new 2200 gallon pond I built. The fish are loving their new home, but I want them to grow like crazy, my largest koi is only about 4 inches. money is no object, I would like the #1 koi food recommendation

Dainichi is considered one of the best out there. New Life Spectrum was formulated based partly on koi so it also a great option.
NLS wasn't exactly formulated based on Koi, but they do have Koi food that is based on the dietary requirements of Koi. (added wheat germ)

I like ratio blending of 3 to 1. Using 3 parts of growth food to 1 part Beni Koi Food. HI Silk can be used for prepping for a koi show or bulking up the fish. I would stick to a blend of foods rather then then just one. What one food may miss in the diet the other may have. Also it is a great idea to feed fresh foods as well. Not everything can be found in a pellet and optimal diet will always be best with fresh foods ( ie. fruits like oranges for vit C and such)
