The other day i was going through my feeder fish ritual, and a friend of mine who doesn't keep fish was there. He thought I was crazy. So I though I would ask you guys what you do with feeders if you use them.

When i first bring my feeders home I dump them into a strainer and poor out all of the LFS water. Then they go into a 5gal bucket with salt and I leave them there for a cpl of hours. I then pour them into the strainer again eliminating all of that water, and finally into the feeder tank that has had a partial w/c that day or the day before.

Am I wasting my time? (even if many of you say I am I will probably continue to do it this way:nilly:)

I know many of you will blast me for using feeders. Feeders are not the staple diet for my fish but are a 1-2 time a week treat or some other type of live food.

I like the way your doing it.. its better than just feeding straight away

When i get my feeders (almost never) i quarantine them. I also wait a couple of weeks till i start feeding them to my fish...

I buy the feeders, then let the bag sit in the feeder tank for around 15 minutes. Then I pour the bag through a large net to get rid of the dirty LFS water. Then put the new feeders in.

Sounds good, but you forgot the part about running them through the microwave! :D J/K!
