Hey guys,
I just bought some live mussels to feed to my loaches. According to the package, they've been cleaned and de-bearded. Do I need to do anything special with them before I feed them to my clowns?

Also, can I freeze the unused mussels for later?

Thanks!

Throw them in some boiling water, then let them cool before feeding. Absolutely freeze the leftovers. I find it easier to boil the whole batch at once, then freeze them all for future use. If you want to get messy, shuck all the mussels out of their shells after cooking & mix with veggies/flake/pellet/garlic. Put nasty mush into baggies & freeze for homemade frozen food.
