Preserving dead fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In my biology class a few years ago, we just place the fish in a jar full of formalin. Be careful with formalin though. I didn't know any better and used it in a poorly ventilated laboratory thus I suffocated from the fumes. It's also carcinogenic. In some areas, formalin is regulated as it is extremely dangerous if you're not careful. It can absorb on your skin.

Oh! And the drawback is the color of your fish can fade away.

I am very clumbsy so formalin is definitely out of the question lol. I am going to guess if I get the right kind of alcohol I could just put it in a jar with alcohol as a substitute then?
