My house has a serious water water pressure (see below pic) I am right at 110 psi on the high side. That is way too high for me to run my drip system at, I need to be in the 40-60 range. No where have I been able to find a sturdy inline pressure regulator.

Does anyone has a source on one? What are you using? I do not want to switch out the regulator to the whole house and that is all I can find for sale.

The black plastic pressure regulator in the pic below was squirting water out of the side and "regulating" to 100 psi. Max 120 psi my ass :irked:

My drip's in-line regulator is a faucet...

What you need is a pressure-reducing valve. They may carry them at Home Depot, but your best bet would be a plumbing supply-house. You can reduce the pressure as much as you want by turning a nut. They aren't cheap, but it will definitely do the trick. You can see mine in the photo, it is the brass valve with the orange tag mounted to the post.

Pressure regulators can be found at just about any lowe's or home depot. they are in with the water suply lines that you would run from the meter to your house, the black plastic coils. should be around $60, at least the last time I bought one. They usually come preset a 60psi but can be easily adjusted, just follow the directions.

Hello; Some years ago I had a camper. I got a pressure reducing valve that screwed onto the connector of the feeder hose. This was to keep the possible high pressure at various campsites from entering the somewhat delicate plumbing of the camper. I do not recall that it was very expensive and reduced the pressure to around 40 psi I think. Perhaps at the RV section of a big box store or maybe an RV place.

Go to the sprinkler department they have a regulator to get it down to 25psi which you need for sprinkler drip emitters the regulator is like $15.00

Sorry I can't post pics from my phone but here is the regulators I am going to setup the second one. Off that connect one of the 4 line emmiter hubs.that have shutoff valves for each line. and grab a bag of drip emmiters and you could do 4 drip 1drip whatever you want and up to 4gph with 1gph emitters or 8gph with 4 2gph emitters

the problem with these plastic regulators is they tend to leak, and fail after time. you need what Dan posted, a true pressure reducing valve. im a journeman plumber and i too run the prv, even trust it in my own bedroom closet.
