feeder tank
Hi, I pretty much gathered all my materials to build my 29 gallon fish tank. My tank will have 130 watts of CF 6700k lighting. I will be using flourite and will be dosing the whole flourish line. I won't have any inhabitants as of the moment. I was planning to use two Hagen natural c02 devices because I have like 3 of them that I used to use for my 10 gallon fish tanks. Is this a bad idea? Will pressurized c02 be worth it and save me alot of trouble? What pressurized c02 items would I need? What would you buy for a 29 gallon heavily planted tank? Also where do I buy the c02 cylinder? I need all advice/recommendations on pressurized c02 as if I do go pressurized, this will be my first time doing so. Help needed! Thanks guys :)

i would just stick with the fermentation unit. there a cheap alternative to automated Co2. hagens brand is alright but tend to run out of Co2 before there supposed too. automated Co2 probably wont make much sense because ur tank is only a 29g. Your lights sound good, and make sure u dose ur tank with liquid ferts. kent and seachem make good products. only use 2 Co2 canisters otherwise u might have too much Co2 in ur tank. it would also help a lot to put an airstone in at night, while that plants are going through respiration. this way ur fish wont run out of O2. good luck and keep us posted.

I wouldn't use the hagen's myself, but on a tank that small, pressurized co2 is really expensive. Personally I would be running 1 2L reaction bottle, and flourish excel.

I have 105watts on my 29 and run 2 2liter bottles and dose excel. Run more than 1 bottle so the co2 dosn't flucuate.

Does it run well? I think i'm going to go pressurized with the JBJ c02 regulator. What you guys think of this?

Look here first. Rex has some really good stuff on C02 systems. For sale and how to set one up cheep.
