So around 3 weeks ago I bought an Aqueon 17w 24" light for my 55 gal. It worked fine up until the end of last week I noticed a lot of flicker. Over the weekend it went back to being fine then earlier in the week it got dim again. Yesterday I turned it on it was fine and at around 10 o'clock it was virtually fired. The bulb burnt out already. Now the last bulb I had for it lasted around 2 years not an issue. Is this common the bulbs dying after a few weeks? I'm just pissed I have to for up more money for something I thought would of lasted much longer. Anyone else have this problem?

take the bulb back to the retailer and get a new 1 ,if they dont give you a new 1 ,dont shop there anymore ,but yea bulbswill occasionally burn out quick ,I had the same thing happen with an aqueon bulb. it could be your fixture but no bulb should burn out that quick

Yeah it just ticks me off when you work so hard to maintain crystal clear water all my live plants in prime condition and then the bulb to burn out. I sent an email to Aqueon about the matter. I didn't bash them or anything just stated the situation to them and what to do. If I could get some kind of compensation for the dud
