below i have a preview of my octo tank i designed in solidworks. I put it in the program because at work we have a CNC and all i have to do is zero out the machine and load the program in autocad format and it will cut it out for me The tank is already done and is made out of acrylic and is 30 gal.(until the 55 is done). The filter box pictured is what i designed and will filter 300 g/h. i also have designs for the lighting and the clear covers to cover the top openings so the little escape artist wont come out. The top openings will be covered with 1/4" clear acrylic and the filter box will be made from 1/4 smoked acrylic. some other things are also on the filter like a small screen for the intake of the filter. i will post the final drawings with everything together. right now im waiting for the acrylic to come in...nice thing about this salt water stuff is it's teaching me to have some patience! If you have any other tips let me know PLEASE! ill post the front view of the filter box tomm. with some dimensions.
