Price check: Nikon D90 $1400

Hey Guys,
Just wanted opinions on this Craig's List camera and accessories:

Nikon D90 w 18-105mm Lens $1150
Nikon - Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED AF-S DX VR Zoom Lens $250
Nikon - SB-600 Speedlight External Flash Unit $220
Nikon - Wireless Remote for Nikon SLR Cameras $18
Nikon - Extra Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery $60

Some of you said an external flash is great for aquarium photography? How about the two lens's offered?

This will be my first "real" camera. Is the price acceptable? Great deal, average deal, bad deal?

Sounds about right. But I would drop the 55-200mm lens and get a vertical grip for the extra battery. The kit lens is ok (18-105mm). But if you like the deal with the lens, then go for it. And yes, the sb-600 well work wireless with the d90.

I like the 50mm f/1.8 and the 35mm f/1.8 lens. Quick in low light and clean and sharp lens. So, I would get the set up you mentioned, But replace the 55-200mm lens with a prime lens 50mm or a 35mm. IMO.

Check Adorama for refurbished cameras and/or lenses. Rather cheap to boot. Got my 50mm f/1.8 for $150 (i think) and the 35mm f/1.8 for the same (I think). If you buy a lens from adorama or B&H, make sure you buy the USA version and not the import version. I have read some where that USA can't fix a imported version of the lens if it was to break or you wanted to send the lens in for a yearly maintenance check.

I got my 55-200 new for $160. And my SB600 used for $170. And you can get batteries for like $15. Seems like a rip off to me.

yeah I was going to offer $1000 for the D90 package?
