Price Check on JD?

I've got a 4.5" beautiful female Jack Dempsey. She's just matured and already spawned three times in the past two months, during which time she becomes ultra territorial! The tank can't hold another JD to pair her with, and I don't have enough space in my tiny apartment for another tank, so I think she's gonna have to go to a new home.

Anyone know what a good price is?

I would think about $10 or cheaper. JD are pretty cheep but it depends what area you live in and how much they are in the pet store. I would go a couple bucks cheeper then the fish store.

my area a 6" runs $25 at a chain store(which is usually cheaper)

My LFS would probably sell it for 20-25$ as long as it was in good shape.

Store would sell it around $35, If its a nice specimen. You will be lucky to get $10 for a lfs. Try best offer on craigslist. You might get a little more that way.

My store would sell it somewhere between $14-$18 depending on color, and quality of fins. We get a lot of dempseys traded in with permanently damaged dorsal rays.
