So - a LFS has a healthy 6.5"-7" clown loach. He has been there for 8 months (they told me)... at first she said he wasnt for sale, but she said she would talk to her boss - she did - and they said they would sell him for $150.00 (because thats the price it would cost them to order a clown that size)... They have him in a 90g bowfront - and he is the only clown loach in the tank (grrr)... I think that is over priced - even for a LFS - but even so, large loaches are sooooo hard to find, even private party...

So - do you think its worth the $150 to get one large healthy CL?

i get them at that price but there are alot at the moment that size out there so 100 70 60 50 bux even just need to find the rt price

Thats a good size Cl for sure, but no way I'd pay that much unless its some crazy oddball pattern. Besides the fact that they aren't keeping it in a proper shoal, if its really been there for 8 months then they should be flexible on the price. Of course it would cost a lot of money to order one that size (maybe not $150 though), but why would they want to order another one if it took 8 months to move this one? Especially since it was just pure luck that you (a loachkeeper) found it & was willing to pay... Normal LFS customers would laugh if you told the ANY fish cost more than 10 bux!
