A Jardini at 4" would go for about $50. A lfs around here has some 2" for $25 right now.

Agreed.. Aussie = jard and that is a regular price..

The Black is a regular price.. and the Blue is a Ploy to make you pay ten times as much for a Black Arow :)
 
Lol at the "blue" aro, pricing like this happens all the time? I wonder why ? Is it the lfs owners or do they really think the fish is worth something different?
 
What type of personality differences do the Black and Jardinis have. I plan on getting an aro next week and was originally going for a small silver to start with, but I'm interested in something a little different.
 
ONe is 98% garraunteed PSYCHO Killer after about 8" from what I've read.. And the other is Docile and More easily placed in a community...

Jardini's are more hit and miss with community usually ending up with dead mates..

Blacks more of your Community arow provided you don't have fish that are already aggressive fin pickers or Killers ...
 
Black arowanas are some of the most beautiful IMO.

If you want tankmates go with the black. You wont be disappointed.
