I am in the market to replace my used and heavily scratched 125 gallon tank. I was wondering what the avg price for a new 125 gallon aquarium is? Just a simple 72x18x24 all glass aquarium? This way I can have an idea if I am getting worked over locally or not. Thanks.

look on craigslist before you buy you can find way better deals there. you can probably find a tank, stand, hood and many extras for the price of a brand new tank......just look around before you buy.

I'm looking to upgrade, stretch, also looking for a 125 GAL.

Craigslist in my area has some good deals but RETAIL seems like its about $400-600 or more depending on what comes with.

Craigslist listings are going anywhere from 250-1500 for full equipped setups. I'm biding my time. Almost got a 125 for $175 but I was a little too slow >_<

i bought a brand new 125 with the same dimensions for 180 here in socal, but i hear from people on this site they usually sell for more than that elsewhere. as people say though craigslist is a good place to start. ive seen some really good deals on there.

see my problem is I have already built a stand and canopy for my existing 125, and all the craigslist ads are trying to sell the entire setup. I just need the tank only. I am tired of looking at a scratched up tank. I bought this one used for $100 off of craigslist but it is scratched to hell. No one wants to just sell the tank by itself....only a package deal with filters, lights and crap I don't need.

At a fish store, around $400

Find a whole set up, take the tank for your self.

Relist a setup with your old scratched tank, the CL stand and any gear you may want to include with it. You may be able to walk away with a better condition tank for free or at minimal cost.
