alright im seriously considering building a tank now. only about 100 - 150 gallons im guessing. measure the stand later and see what exatcly it would be. i already have a stand .. sort of to put the tank on. ideally it'd be small enugh to use my fluval 404 on and i have plenty of heat etc for the tank and decour no worries. but as for the actualy tank build. id be needing the plywood .. glass .. supplies and lighting. someone guesstimate at how much id be lookin at?

that can varie drastically with materials used and location. if you are in a big center and willing to shop around you could save alot of money. if you have the tools you can save money also how much beer you will need for the build can be a big factor as well. dimenisons will also play into how much the glass will cost. the taller the tank the thicker the glass. let us know more how you plan to build it and dimensions and we can get you a closer ballpark figure but expect the unexpected and factor it into your cost

You need to figure out what size tank you want before you can start to price it out, typically building tanks doesn't yeild any savings untill you hit the 200 Gallon and bigger mark however a good scrounger can save money on a tank this size as well. and with new options for sealing the tank with things like Liquid rubber it helps alot as well... now if only we could find a good cheap alternative to glass and plexi :D
