price opinion on tank

what is a good price for a 240 gallon acrylic 8'x2'x2' used tank... has some minor scratches, i might think of picking it up and giving my current new 135 to my dad not sure yet though... might go check it out this weekend if it is still there... tell me your opinions please...

You have to look into what a stand is going to cost or how much you will need to spend to build one, along with lighting heating and filtration and then see if it will be worth it. Most of the time, complete setups can be way cheaper than piece by piece setups..
 
Holes on the top are way too small, that would piss me off because I wouldn't be able to fit any large decorations in it. Plus, think about trying to catch fish.

If it's $300 for the tank only, I don't think that is a very good deal.
 
iwas going to make a stand my self along with my father and i would say 2x4's and a cpl sheets of ply wood would run some where about 60-70 bucks but the stand finished product probably like 100 bucks tops, and for filtration i would take my fx5 and a fluval 403, would needone more heater as i have two stealth 250's or maybe 2 more. 100lbs more gravel 1 light fixture and light

and that should be about it
