Is £4.75p a good prices for red belly piranhas that is the price i was given when i went in my local fish shop today im thinking of buying 20 of them for my tank its 72x18x24. Im planning on growning them then picking out the best and selling on the rest im in manchester in the uk.

Red Ballys are free, Red BELLYs it goes by size and how many you have ordered. you can get them for $5 a pop or upto $20+

Whats the gal of the tank? you wont make much money from them since they eat all the damned time, plus some will die. I would just get 4-5 and breed them your self

Selling them would actually depend on how readily available they are in your area. I unloaded a couple of 6 inchers or so for $20 bucks each.
Meanwhile i've seen people in here getting them from 2 inches to 8 inches for free. So it just depends on the area.

What size are the ones at your local fish store? Anyone in the U.K. give us some input on prices over there? It'd be useless for us to compare the US prices to the prices oversea.

Hi Gaz.

Got your email, glad you like my tank mate.Sounds like a ok price for them. I paid about the same for mine when they were little babies, About 2cm

Have a look in Reptile shops for the cork bark, its the stuff for snakes and lizards. If you need anything else just get in touch ok.

thanks all ive just seen 6 on ebay that have breed in the past going for only £70 and it in my local town so going to bid on them i think ive looked all over the net for the cork cant find anything that has the look i want got my black sand cost me £65 its pay day soon so going to go buy my cork and plants and things cant wait to get it all set up now

That seems pretty good, i paid $10 Ea. for my little guys 1" in Northern Ontario,Canada
Although they are extremely hard to find up here.

How many do you plan on selling and at what size do you want to sell them at? You can sell them for alot more when they are bigger, but you're going to need a huge tank for all of them to reach that size.
