I have 2 breeding pairs of psittacus (Venezuelan), and someone local has expressed an interest in buying one of the pairs. These are some big fish...probably 10"+ each fish, and not commonly spawned. Any ideas what I should ask for them? I got them from Rapps over 2 years ago, at which time I think they were priced at $50 each.

The person who says he wants them is someone I believe will take good care of them, so I would consider selling to him. I've bought several fish from him, so I want to be fair.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Individually I've seen larger single fish going for 80-120, so double that and tack on a bit and I think it's fair. Probably around $200. But then I don't buy or sell fish looking to make profit.

I'd say $200 minimum man. They are great fish, definitely not common, and being a breeding pair makes them that much more desireable! Best of luck to whoever decides to get them!!
