On the the bottle of Prime it says that it can alleivate the Nitrites/Nitrates so if i put a dose in mmy tank will it drop the nitrites/nitrates to help with the cycling being doing a fishless cycle for almost 2 weeks will prime help speed up the cycle??

I would suggest Stability vs Prime, I believe prime is only for treating water during water changes.

it wont speed up cycling ...BUT it will detoxify amonia and nitrites and nitrate so when you are cycled it'll be safer for your fish

More stable,i cant find prime here in syracuse I tryed most of the lfs, only thing I cand find is stress coat products

I have not used stability, but one of the heavy hitters on here will surely help out

Prime is great for cycling your tank with fish in the tank, it breaks down all the nitrates nitrite ammonia and removes heavy metals and chloramine and chlorine. Prime will not cycle your tank in itself. If that is what you are looking to do pick up tetra safe start, it is pricy but works great, I cycled my 60 in 2 days with it. Prime is a good for water changes as a dechlorinator. So there's my 2 cents.

Prime will detox ammonia and nitrites, Stability will speed the cycle. Two different products that can be used together. I can't remember the last time I cycled a tank traditionally...

Or you can just transfer seeded bio and or subtrate and achieve the same thing within minutes, that is of course you have extra. Some people will completly swap a filter on the new tank, I did the same and I tested at 10min 1 hr 12hr and 24 all stable and ammonia nitrite free!

Obviously dechlor water is essential at start up w/ BB so yes USE PRIME great product but SAFE is better if you can find it, mail order works
