So I always thought prime took care of 4ppm or 4mg/l of chrolarmine , like it says on their site, but the bottle i just bought today said only 1.2mg/L of chrolarmine.

So I checked my old bottle and it also says 1.2mg/L So then I thought maybe i was wrong and that mg/l didn't = ppm so I checked sea chems site and they say this.

"Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 200 L (50 gallons*) of new water. This removes approximately 1 mg/L ammonia, 4 mg/L chloramine, or 5 mg/L chlorine."

So what is it? 1.2 or 4? is the site or the bottle wrong?

I asked Dr. Greg Morin, the CEO of Seachem about this very thing last year. The info on their website is correct, the info found on some of the older containers was due to a SNAFU.

That is the same thing seachem tech support told me they said it was only on the old bottles, so I wounder how old my brand new petsmart bottle is? reminds me of the day I bought biospira and found out they had not made it in 2 years. Does any one have a bottle that says 4?

If it makes you feel any better, Prime has an indefinite shelf life.
