okay. so right now, i'm using prime in all of my fish tanks. i like it, as a product. it's always been perfectly fine, no major issues. but i'm certain i'm missing a lot of stuff about water chemistry, and i'm wondering what's best?
it's my understanding that prime removes chlorine and chloramine, detoxifies heavy metals, and neutralizes ammonia and other nitrogenous compounds (nitrite, etc).
now, i've read up on NovAqua+ and i like what i hear, but i was wondering what you all thought of it? it's also my understanding that this product does not remove ammonia, but when the chloramines break apart, ammonia is freed up and in the water, and so must be used in conjuction with amquel to be a safe product?
so, should i stick with prime? am i not getting the whole picture? what i really want, is the absolute best for my aquariums.
