prime vs safe

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes, they are the same SAFE is powder and cheaper, PRIME is liquid and more expensive, but they do exactly the same.

Get Safe I had my kilo bottle of Safe since August 2011 and I'm getting ready to place another order of one. That bottle treated a 210g, 75g and used to treat filter socks for a little over 2 years now. Safe in the kilo size is $26. on Amazon.

I like Safe for big tanks and Prime for smaller ones. If I am doing a number of smaller tanks, I will mix safe for 50 gallons in water and add it proportionally to the smaller tank.

Yep. Same thing.

Only differance is Safe is for immediate use, Prime has stableizer so it has a shelf life. With Safe you mix what you need and use it on the spot. I use Safe, it's cheaper in the long run.

Man you guys are making me kick myself. I wanna use Safe but afraid I'd mix the wrong amount and kill my fish somehow lol. Prime has always been my go to.

I don't pre measure or pre dilute safe. I've never had an issue. You can't really overdose unless you add 5 times the amount. And even then I doubt it would do anything

I agree. I don't measure and I add directly to the tank moments before I fill with tap water. It's never caused an issue and I have 13 clown loaches which aren't very hardy fish.
