I am curious to know how many people add prime after adding water to your tanks or do you add it to a bucket (or wherever) before you put it in the tank. I just had surgery and it would sure be easier to run a hose to the sink and add the water and then put in the prime. I am not supposed to be lifting right now but I need to do water changes. So, how do you add your water?

I use a python style hose set up. I turn off all my heaters and filters, remove my water with the hose. Add half my dosage, fill it back up, add the rest of my dosage and wait 5-10 mins (probably don't have to do that part, but I do anyways) and then turn everything back on.

Get a Python or the Aqueon version. You'll never look back!

I vac, add prime and refill. Very little effort, literally no mess and since using Prime, not one single loss!

Yeah get one of those hoses that hooks up to your sink. They're affordable and simple to use. I am a breeder and I don't add prime when I do small 20-30 percent water changes. Unless you have animals that are super-sensitive to chlorine, don't concern yourself with the prime. Certainly add it if you want, but don't worry too much about it if you're just doing small changes, and don't worry about when you add it.

I add the prime to the tank and then attach a garden hose to the tap and let her rip.

I prefer the Aqueon hose over python or Lees by far. It's just a much better quality. However, buy the python brass adapter (thing that screws into the sink) because the aqueoun one is plastic junk.
