Hi all. I know i've been here for a couple of months but more as a floater than anything else!

My name is Liam and am from the south of the UK, Southampton-ish. I've always had fish in some capacity since i was young. I had a malawi set up for the last couple of years in a 55g tank but towards the beginning of the year the entire stock was decimated by one large Livingstonii. Then one day i walked into a LFS who happened to have a H. Malabaricus and i knew i had to have it. And i was thus hooked on monsters. Setting up its own tank, i ended up with 2 tanks in my roomand was very happy. The Livingstonii popped his clogs towards the end of June after a fungal infection and dispite my best efforts it was all a little too late. I was left with a common plec (3 years old) and a Bichir 1.5 years (ownership). Then one drunken evening i bought a 75g tank and a 160g tank. WHOOPS! Being that the only place for them was upstairs i commisioned a structural engineer to make sure my 160 could go up there. All was certified and i filled the tank 2 weeks ago. The small tanks were de-commisioned and the mala got the 75 while the Bichir and Plec got the 160 while it matured further and before i added anything else. I had a small bacteria bloom last week so delayed their introduction but the water is now crystal clear. And this is where i am now. I want to introduce rays but it's all a bit up in the air as to which ones and when i can but in the mean time i'm still looking at other options and happily Aquascaping. The 160 is by no means the end. Having been on here for the months i have, i am already contemplating bigger tanks for my house... when i move out of this one...

Otherwise, i am generally a dedicated petrolhead and pour money into my Nissan Pulsar Gti-R and enjoy nothing more than a weekend of pretending to be OCD and cleaning it! Or breaking it.

My 2 pride and joys;
