Today i found my Senagalus with a red mark on his underside & he is a bit slugish . He is in my 5 foot community tank no aggresive big boy's in with him the biggest in there are various Synodontis's & 2 Sun cat's . Unfortunately i can't tell you the water perameter's as i have ran out of test strip's . I haven't added anything for a while now . I have recently started using a new Bloodworm pellet's but other than that no recent changes . Ive never had this problem before any advise would be greatly appreciated .

yeah, i agree ^^^

sort of looks like he bruised himself on something sharp. do you have any sharp decor in your tank? if you're worried you should do a waterchange and add some melafix. if it is a bruise or he got hurt and its just a wound the melafix would help it to heal quicker.

I forgot to say after i saw him this afternoon i did 20% water change & cleaned the external ehiem filter out , i did wonder if he had bruised himself so i took some wood out of the tank aswell . I plan on doing another small WC tomorrow .

sounds good. Might be worthwhile to up the temp a degree or two and add some aquarium salt to help heal as well.

wow that seems to have worsened! now im starting to worry too! did you pm this to anne with all the pics? she will know what to do.

He's in a sand tank although i have spotted a couple of bit's of gravel in the sand that have fell of plant root's when i moved them . Sorry for being dumb not sure what you mean by impacted ? I feed him cat fish pellet , prawn's & earthworm's just lately (not fed him maggot's for a month or so) the only food change is some Bloodworm pellet's that i recently bought .

just forgot to add something..i dont think that's a bruise now. im not too sure what it is...but post this up in the poly section too.
