A few weeks ago i bought a handful of 1 inch convicts with intentions on breeding them for feeders. I have been told the females will not show their orange bellies until closer to 2 inches.Is it possible for them to spawn before this, as it seems they are trying to pair up?
Also, 4 of the five seem to be thriving well but one of them does not appear to be eating or growing and is continuously hiding out by the top of tank behind filter and also appears to have damage to fins as if the others have been nipping at them. My ? is is it possilble the others have paired up and are trying to kill the fifth one or could it just be sick.
Wondering if i should just make the outcast one jag food.
