yesterday my brother noticed that a fin on one of his discuss was damaged. im not to sure on what it is, i think he just got beat up but i think im wrong. it looks like redish bump where his fin and body meet. any help would be great.

I'm not an expert, want to know what that is but if you want other's help. I think they need to know your set up, water parameter, water change and tankmates.

If i was you, i'll put it in 10G hopital tank so it won't spread out to other fish and wait for doctor to respond. From picture and my little experience, it looks like fungus 'cause dont see blood. While waiting for doctor, I would keep him in 10G tank and raise temp to 84-88

I had that happen to a fish before, didn't survive. Some sort of fungal injection, I think. I would seperate the fish and treat in a hospital tanks
