I got a red ceibal and convict and they were in a tank together and they are only 2" convict and 1" red ceibal and while I was at work the next day after I got them the convict beat him up and now he won't swim, I have him divided off and I am melafixing him, he only has a red mark by his gill on one side and he is breathing hard and his stomach looks really deflated. What can I do to save him, he has been alive like this for over a day now

The Con may have done him in for good. Sounds like you are doing all you can. Keep the light off, that will reduce any further stress.

That is what I was afraid of I hope he makes it cause he will look great. Is there anything I can do to get rid of his sunken stomach? Is there a chance he can live?

The sunken belly sounds like the con wasn't letting him eat, and it's empty. Try different types of food with getting it to eat, and whatever it doesn't, gravel vac it up so the water stays pristine for it getting better..

Yeah, just try feeding it. If it's not getting beat anymore and he starts eating then signs are good. Good luck. Let us know how it works out.

The reason he is probably breathing heavy is because melafix removes oxygen from the water. Be sure to aerate well during his treatment. Also while they're divided give him extra rations so he can put some more size on.

He didn't make it. He was able to eat when I got him and then the next day my convict beat him up. The only sign of getting Beaten up was red spot on his gill. That sucks cause I paid good money for him from Jeff rapps. The convict I also got from him is a mean little thing. She picks on my 4 inch geo from Jeff. She is only 2" but she has also killed two giant danios by ripping their eyes out. There was plenty of air going in to the water. He never really swam, he would try but he would sink right back to the bottom. He sat on his side on the bottom of the tank the whole time.
