let me tack on to this, my ph in my tank is high, i dont have fancy equipment but i do got drip test's, and my ph at least 8.6+ and the alk is high as well, how can i bring these into check? i would like my ph to be back around 8.0
mike999g, if you feel like bubbles, then add some pH neutral buffer, and you can do it . It just involves messing around with your water.
mosthated: gotta know hardness. In general: It's harder to lower when your water is hard (as ironic as it might sound in this thread). Your LFS sells buffers for specific pH ranges.
