Hello,
My name is Boyan and I have been doing aquaristics for 30 years.
I have had an aquarium with stingrays for about 4 years. I have raised them from 15-16 cm babies. I have a motoro, motoro/bosemany hybrids, and a black diamond.
Recently two of my females were impregnated by one of the males. During pregnancy I keep the males and females separate. Everything was ok until the moment the females had to give birth. Ok, they gave birth - one 5 babies and the other 9 babies. The problem is that within two days of giving birth, both mothers died, breathing heavily. The videos show the mothers shortly before giving birth.Pregnant stingrays 1
Pregnant stingrays 2
The parameters of the water in my 2200 liter aquarium are : temperature 26 degrees Celsius , pH 8, Amonia-0, NO2-0, NO3- I haven't measured, but I change 15% of the water almost every day.
Important!
10 days before the birth, I added 4 koi carp x 35 cm to the aquarium.

Stingrays are checked for gill parasites. Do not have.
External signs are like nitrite poisoning - active breathing and refusal of food for 2-3 days .
Important!
After she died, the larger female motoro had small ulcers on her lower abdomen. I show them in a photo.
The problem is that now one of my smaller female high grade BD is showing runaway spots and also has small ulcers on her belly. The running spots are over 10 days old.
In the meantime, I keep them in a darkened aquarium, they are no longer breathing heavily and are eating, although not 100%.
I have removed the koi carp and the aquarium filtration is more than adequate. The question is what are these stomach ulcers from:
1. ammonia poisoning
2.birth stress and overcrowding of the aquarium
3. Parasites that came with koi carp: costia, chylodonella, bacteria, some viruses...
Thanks in advance to those who responded.
I apologize for my English-I use a translator.
Greetings !
