Below the surface......
My buddy's ray got some sort of film on it's body; I haven't seen it but he says it looks kinda like algea growing on the ray this is how he described it. Anyway what could this be; Anyone guys. What could be the problem with his ray. He got 2 motoros and the other is is okay. Wish I could describe it better but like I mentioned I haven't seen it either and I dont have a pic.

hard to tell without a pic, could be a bacterial infection perhaps?

Yea we pix of this one...

is it like a white film? A bit like howd you peel after sunburn type stuff.

It might be; I really dont know I haven't seen it; but it sound it might be.....What is it????

well not sure without pictures, but could be other fish nipping the disc, or could be ammonia burn. Just make sure the parameters are ok, make sure the temp is about 30 degrees, and if you want can add a little bit of salt (about 1 tblspoon per 10gals). Make sure the water is aerated well, and turn the lights off to minimize stress. Without knowing what it is, that's the best you can do really.
