problematic auratus

hello all...

has any of you ever successfully mixed a male auratus in a mixed tank? have one in my quarantine tank ( saved him from being flushed because of his attitude) and i attempted blending him with my mbuna tank with no success. I do have another tank that might work. here are the inhabitants
large male venestus
large male sulpherhead
2 male blue moorii
electric yellow lab ( also in that tank because of aggresssion, but it worked out great)

So im asking for a second opinion before i just either keep him as a cycle fish in my qt tank or i just move him in there. thanks!

I would keep him out of those 2 tanks.

Auratus are just one species in the Mbuna group with the "Buy at your own risk" warning attached.
Many varieties of full grown male Mbuna are more than a match for like sized Haps & Peacocks.
I recently lost my prized adult male
Fusco, which was likely thrashed by a yet unidentified Mbuna tankmate.
IMO, it's not worth the risk. Best to rehome the Auratus.
