In my new 100g (been setup maybe four days.)

Current stocklist:

3" Fl/Sp Gar
4" Confused Oscar (Half black, half white :screwy:)
6" Jack Dempsey
2" Gold/White Saum

And I get my 2" Juvi Jaguar tomorrow. The oscar was a surrender from a friend, originally it was just for my JD, Jag, Saum, and some Severums. LFS asked me to take the Fl/Sp Gar.

Before anything is said, this is a growout, I know this is not the full size for these fishies.

I've tried dropping basically everything I have in the tank. The JD just sits in a little cave all day, comes out and swims around maybe for 5 minutes of the day. The oscar and saum play around all day, the saum will put my sinking pellets in his mouth then spits them out. He will eat brine shrimp.

The oscar scarfed in a bunch of krill when I introduced him, won't touch my pellets, but has eaten two superworms already.

The gar hasn't touched anything, he's so quiet and calm and I can put my hand right up to him, I've tried hand feeding him but he doesn't open his mouth for anything.

The JD will not eat aswell.

I've tried frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, cut up krill, superworms, Hikari Cichlid Gold Floating pellets, some of my CICHLID! Attack sinking pellets I used to feed my african tank, algae wafers, salmon-based Omega One flakes. No avail yet :(. Fishies have been in there a 4-5 days

give them time, they will eat. if the JD is the one not eatting then just put floating pellets in the tank. it'll eat.

It's not going to pollute the water if I leave some of the food for them right?

naw....only if you leave alittle.

yea starve them for a couple of days and then try feeding them always works for me

you can mabe place the pellets in from of the cave w/ a grabber wand. so the jd doesn't have to come out far to eat. but yeah don't feed for a couple days they should become hungry if they don't turn on each other.

Not all of them have problems eating though. I'll just do some bigger water changes, that water is already getting nasty. Still waiting for my 404 to get shipped here, using two really crappy HOBs.
