Ive had 3 for a few weeks now and a few days ago 2 of them started acting funny swimming sideways and scratching the rocks and their stripes have faded, then one died yesterday and today the other was lying upside down on the rocks but then swam away normally when i approached the tank and appears to be fine now. Water conditions temp:84 and ammonium, nitrate and nitrite all were fine, anythoughts? please help!

What does "fine" mean?

I need exact readings.

How much ammonia? Nitrite? Nitrate?

what is the PH?

Can I possibly get a picture of the bass?

What test kit are you using?

are there other fish in the tank?

what are you feeding?

freeze dried blood worms, they seem to love them. well the one still does the other one is not eating much

are they acting normal now?

Well its hard to say, either it was a shock of bad water quality or parasites.

Get some small feeder fish, and get the guy eating. Cichla not eating = bad.

Lets run an experiment. Get a little wad of paper, and flick it at the tank glass from a distance. See if both cichla strike at it.
