but I have a 55gal native tank with a Spotted bass (which I've had the longest), a Crappie, and a Largemouth. When I added the crappie and LM, the spot was very aggressive towards them by nipping and displaying aggression. Now, the tables have turned in the last month. The LM won't leave the spot alone. He has a scar on his eye that looks like a cataract, and I constantly hear splashing because the LM keeps chasing the spot and pinning him in the corner. I don't know what to do. I have added some plants and I am hoping he is just trying to establish heiarchy and not trying to actually kill him. The LM is growing and I'm afraid this will get worse. Any suggestions?

Bass generaly are teritorial so For 55 Its way to many fish ure not able to house crrapie in it and the bass needs way bigger tank. Ooo and as bigger they get its gona get worse.

i would guess up grade to a larger tank, or u might try adding LOTS of plants and knarly driftwood. my bass occasionally rough eachother up but nothing terrible. just keeping eachother in check.

I am assume these are wild caught? Ifind that Wild Fish have 'space issues' are do not tolerate other fish. Its usually a line of site game. If they can see it, they will chase it and defend their territory. 2 options are: Bigger tank, as mentioned, or lots of wood and branches to provide visual barriers as well as places to escape. Another option would be an actual divider.

Regardless of what you do, you WILL need a much larger tank. Bass are highly territorial, and this will likely continue until at least one fish is dead.

Okay, I put up a divider. The spot looks ragged. I can let him heal but as soon as I remove the divider, I believe it will start over again. My son wants to let the spot go in the pond. I haven't decided.
