Hello,
I am thinking of picking up a couple of bottle of Amquel
http://www.aquariumguys.com/amquelplus16oz.html

Before I do so, I was wondering what MFKers thought about this product. I was thinking of primarily using this to condition my water for weekly water changes.

Thanks in advance.
I love how I can count on our community to help each other out.

I have read good things about it and I have read bad things.

My experience has been very positive. I added too many fish at once to my tank (after it was already cycled), which caused it to cycle again. I added Amquel+ once every 24 hours to detox the ammonia and nitrites. All of my fish made it through the cycle fine and are very healthy. As far as just using it as a conditioner, I wouldnt use it for that, I prefer prime.

I've tried Amquel (and just about every other water conditioner out there!) and I will say: Use Prime!

It is the best there is, and you get a lot more bang for your buck.

it's two 16oz bottles for 5 bucks!

but if it is the case that it will be unhealthy for my fish, i suppose i will look into prime.
thanks!

Like I always say all over the forum, use prime, and only prime. Buy it cheap at doctor fosters and smith.

Amquel isnt harmfull at all in the slightest for your fish. I use lots of it as water here is chlorine loaded and when rainy season ends I use tap water for backyard water changes but prime is better.

I just find diff so slight that since buy large bottle use Amquel

Amquel is fine and not bad in tiniest way and works.
