Decided to do a thread on 3 Flowerhorns I purchased online 1 Thai Silk, 1 Kamfa, and 1 SRD Flowerhorn. Previously have had bad luck with purchasing Flowerhorns at my LFS.

Set up a 20 gal quarantine tank with dividers to keep them apart. Goal is to have them there 2-3 weeks them switch them to a 75 gallon with dividers. In the future I know I can only keep 1 maybe 2 of them. So far the Kamfa is my favorite but surprised with how good the Thai Silk looks in personBE695339-4259-4B36-914C-3A3124BF9793.jpegCD45C836-6AA2-4948-A8FA-D46AB1BD1226.jpeg6A9ABBA3-F1ED-417C-BCAD-551CC583F772.jpegD37640AB-4AA7-4327-A78E-6FA646199870.jpeg

I received them last Tuesday 4/13. I let them acclimate and next day tried feeding them and they all ate right away. That was a big accomplishment for me, since the previous FH I’ve had wouldn’t eat due to stress.

On Sunday I did have a mishap. The Thai Silk got through the barrier, I mistake I had made but have since fixed, and there was a little scuffle between the Kamfa and Thai silk. Kamfa got bite on the neck, but was able to catch it before they did more damage to themselves. Added some Melafix to the tank to avoid a infection.

These pictures are 1 week from when I received them.

good going bud. all 3 look great. I personally like the Thai silk more cause it does not have that overly large head and its body is in proportion .

Posting a update. Lost my SRD due to bloat. I fed all 3 the same amount off pellets, over 2 were fine

Replaced him with a smaller Kamfa,
